My
Story
Hello, and welcome to my shop!
My name is Damian, and I’m so glad you’re here.
My journey in the framing and art world began more than 30 years ago in Iowa City, Iowa. What started as a curious interest in picture framing quickly grew into something much more meaningful—a genuine love for designing and creating beautiful things.
I grew up helping my father in his wood shop, where I developed an appreciation for hands-on craftsmanship and working with my hands. My love of creating eventually led me to the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, where I studied figurative sculpture and earned my BFA in sculpture in 2007. My skills then led me to New York City, where I worked as a sculptor for Studio EIS as well as in the sculpture department at Jeff Koons in Chelsea for many years.
After NYC, my journey has been one filled with experiences which have always revolved around my love of art. From local frame shops in the Northeast to working as an art handler in Boston, I have cultivated a deep love for great design and quality craftsmanship. I've distilled those experiences into creating my own shop. A shop where sculpture, woodworking, art handling, fabrication, and decades of framing has shaped the way I approach every project. I believe a frame should do more than simply hold a piece of art—it should celebrate it.
Thank you for visiting my shop and taking the time to learn a little about my journey. I look forward to working with you and creating something you’ll love for years to come.
